Utility Lines: Taylor Storm Shelter shall not be responsible for utility lines overhead and/or underground. We will contact ‘okiedig’ to have major lines located. It is the homeowners’ responsibility to know or have any other utility lines located including water, cable, sewer etc.

Taylor Storm Shelters is not liable or responsible for damages that may occur during the installation of the storm shelter purchased. Damages to driveways, shrubbery, sprinkler systems, underground utilities, pipes, sewer pipes or cables, or any under-the-slab items that may occur that are unforeseeable.

Rock clause: A cost of $75 per hour after the first hour of dig time. If the backhoe is unable to remove the rock and customer wants the shelter in that desired location and depth, a jackhammer will be required. Backhoe, jackhammer, and crew will be at a rate of $200 per hour with a two hour minimum.

Permits: All permits and inspection fees are the responsibility of the homeowner. Taylor Storm Shelters will supply you with the correct engineered drawings.

Warranty:  The manufacturer warrants that there will be no leakage in the concrete structure for a period of 10 years from date of installation. This includes the seal where the 2 units are joined. Condensation is not included, this is a natural occurrence, please leave door cracked if you are experiencing condensation. Small cracks caused by expansion and/or contraction which do not create a leakage or structural problem are not covered by the warranty.Warranty is for repair only. This is not a replacement warranty.

Maintenance: Precast- door hinges need to be greased twice a year. And the door will need to be painted, to prevent rust.  Hinge replacement IS NOT covered by our warranty. The steel door of your shelter has been painted with a metal primer. To prevent rusting, you may wish to re-prime and/or paint when needed.  It is very important to keep dirt packed around your shelter. After the first few rains, following installation, you will see considerable settling of the dirt around the unit. This is normal. It is necessary to rake the dirt back up against the shelter on all sides. It is recommended by the manufacturer that the dirt remains over halfway up the sides and back of your shelter

Cancellations:  If the customer does not want to continue with the shelter due to rock or water or other unforseeable problem such as access issues, a minimum of 10% of the total cost of the contract is required.

Payment Options: We accept cash, check, and credit cards. There is a 4% surcharge for all credit card transactions. Over the phone or can be swiped on job site.

Down payments/deposits are non-refundable.

Taylor Storm Shelters is not responsible for any delays resulting from accidents of forces of nature, such as weather. All changes and alterations or revisions must be in writing. Any increase in cost or expenses will be added to the total amount due on contract.

By signing the contract/invoice you agree that you have carefully read the terms and conditions and accept the contract.
